On the Path

BaDerekh (בַּדֶּרֶךְ) means 'along the path'. It describes both a literal journey and, metaphorically, a process of spiritual growth and personal development.

Wherever you are on your path, BaDerekh's hikes, outdoor experiences, and meet-ups are a way to 1) experience how Jewish life inherently fosters a deep connection to nature and 2) help build Jewish community in the Hudson Valley.

So join us to explore the region's trails, orchards, and kills, and find meaning through experiential learning and shared adventures.

Read more about BaDerekh's vision and founding guide-educator Rabbi Jason Gitlin.

Hopefully the connections BaDerekh nurtures on the trails, will lead to people meeting up for coffee and drinks , sharing Shabbat meals, and friendships. Stay tuned for news on meet-ups at community spaces around the Hudson Valley and informal holiday gatherings to help nurture more Jewish connections.
